About our Campers

Campers Served:

Persons of varying disability and functionality are encouraged to apply. Typical camper disabilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Down Syndrome
  • Autism
  • Cerebral Palsy
  • Spina Bifida
  • Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
  • Muscular Dystrophy
  • Secondary Emotional Disorder
  • Mental Retardation
  • Cri-di-Chat
  • Deaf/Hearing Impaired
  • Blind/Visually Impaired
  • Seizure Disorder

Age Range:

The established age range of Camp Hope campers is 11-30.


Camper's Locale:

Currently, most of our campers reside in the Chicago-land area. However, we will accept campers from other areas of Illinois and the United States.


Camper Application Process (FACT SHEET):

  • The camper application process begins February 15.
  • Applications are processed on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • We accept 20 campers per session (10 male, 10 female).
  • The registration fee is $300, although some scholarships are available.
